Pepsi Chocolate-Covered Pretzels Recipe for Valentine’s Day

Love is in the air this month – which means the aroma of freshly melted chocolate should be, too.
What better time to step into our Carolina Kitchen, where we share simple, seasonal and often gift-worthy dishes and Pepsi recipes – like our Pepsi Party Mix and our Pepsi Peppermint Bark? With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, let’s heat things up in the kitchen for your special someone. Specifically in the microwave.
2 c. dark chocolate chips of your choice
1 tbsp. coconut oil
16 oz. bag of Rold Gold Tiny Twists
1 can or bottle of Pepsi
Flaky sea salt
Take a trip to Food Lion to shop for your ingredients.
Set a baking sheet aside, covered in wax paper. In a glass mixing bowl covered with plastic wrap, melt the chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until completely melted and smooth. Then mix in the coconut oil, stirring vigorously until blended. Add a splash of Pepsi and stir that in as well. While the mixture is still hot (feel free to reheat and stir again if needed!), dip the pretzels one by one into the chocolate mixture, either by hand or with tongs. (Note: You probably won’t use all of the pretzels; it depends on how heavily you coat the chocolate.) Set the chocolate-covered pretzels onto a baking sheet and sprinkle with the flaky sea salt. Place in the refrigerator to cool the chocolate – it should take about half an hour. Then serve it up to your sweetheart – or yourself. You choose who you enjoy it with.
